Operations Manager (OpsMan)

• "Cannot connect to the monit daemon" error during BOSH tasks - Intermittently, during BOSH tasks such as "bosh deploy", you might encounter failures such as Cannot connect to the monit daemon. Check KB article for workaround and resolution details.
• Collecting the Support Bundle from OPS Manager UI. - This document describes how to gather the support bundle from OPS Manager through the web portal.

VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG)

• How to rotate certificates in a TCA - CaaS cluster certificate (90425)  -  Kubernetes component certificates have a 1 year duration and are rotated during cluster update. However, if the cluster has not been upgraded then the certs will need to be rotated manually.
• capv user password expiry in Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (90368) - TKG 1.6 which includes TKR 1.23.8 capv user password is set to expire in 60 days in Ubuntu OS and 90 days in Photon OS as part of STIG Hardening.
• How to manually collect logs from a TKG cluster (90319) - Instructions to collect logs In scenarios where log collection is not feasible using crashd and additional information related to the cluster nodes is needed.

VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated (TKGI)

• Compliance Scanner for VMware Tanzu is not compatible with NSX-T Dedicated Tier-1 Topology - Currently Compliance Scanner for VMware Tanzu doesn't support NSX-T Dedicated Tier-1 Topology. In order to use Compliance Scanner features in the NSX-T environment, Shared Tier-1 topology is recommended.

VMware Application Catalog (VAC)

In July 2022, the user interface (UI) of VMware Application Catalog was merged with VMware Marketplace to simplify access for users. We have since realized, based on feedback from our customers, that the original design of having individual UIs for VMware Marketplace and VMware Application Catalog was the best approach. So, starting December 15, 2022, users will once again be able to directly access VMware Application Catalog from the VMware Cloud Services portal without having to go through VMware Marketplace. This change does not affect the functionality or the performance of VMware Application Catalog in any way, and the product inherently remains the same.

VMware Application Catalog extends support to JFrog Container Registry

VMware Application Catalog had Google Container Registry, Azure Container Registry, and Harbor as supported registries, but last month we announced support for Amazon Elastic Container Registry. Dec 1st , addition of yet another major container registry to our list, JFrog Container Registry.

December Updates - Release Notes

• Dec 7th Update : Added support for installing Helm charts

You can now install Helm charts to your clusters through Tanzu Mission Control. After you enable Helm service on your cluster, you can use the Catalog page to install a Helm chart (create a release) from the Bitnami repository. For more information, see Managing Packages and Releases in Your Cluster.

More options to manage events in TMC are available now. In addition to cluster management events, the list of events displayed on the Events page in the Tanzu Mission Control console now includes audit events.
