Tanzu What’s New - Jan 27, 2023 Edition

This week, VMware released TBS 1.9.1. VMware Data Solutions released the beta version of GemFire 10 and the beta version of RabbitMQ as a service. VMware Tanzu Application Services for VMs (TAS)

Ruby Buildpack 1-9-x defaults to Ruby 3-1 - Starting with Ruby Buildpack v1.9.x, the default ruby version has been updated to v3.1. Tanzu Application Service (TAS) Smoke-test releases prior to v4.8.2 are not compatible with Ruby Buildpack v1.9.x. Smoke test errands may fail. Check this KB for details.
Docker app fails to start if sh executable not in PATH - If pushing a docker app to Tanzu Application Service (TAS) that does not include the sh binary it may result in error. Check this KB for details.
CF CLI intermittently fails with: Error writing config: . .cf/config.json: no such file or directory - This is a known issue with CF cli and github issue is opened to track this. Check KB for details.
Update user-provided service instance failed with CF-Database Error - A user-provided service instance has many keys already. When updating this service instance to add more keys, it fails with CF-Database Error. Check article for resolution steps.
Spring Cloud Services mirror job fails with an Exception containing "Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect" - It can happen that the keystore expires in the Spring Cloud Services (SCS), causing the mirror service to stop working. Check article for solution.
