Transition to Broadcom and timeline - KB article Updated!!!
●        Tanzu Network to Broadcom’s Customer Support Portal Transition and Timeline Information - Starting on June 24th 2024, all on-premise Tanzu products will be distributed on Broadcom's Customer Support Portal (https://support.broadcom.com). In the past, Tanzu products were distributed on either VMware Customer Connect or Tanzu Network. The cutover details from prior systems to Broadcom are detailed in the above article including our support for automation related to product discovery, upgrade planning, and consumption. Tanzu Network registry shuts off date has been updated to July 29th 2024.

●        [Feature] Customers using SAML with Ops Manager can rotate the internal SAML certificate
●        [Known Issue Fix] additional_cloud_properties is no longer unintentionally mutated when redacting secrets
●        [Known Issue Fix] NSX-T Certificate Authentication no longer fails during Apply Changes due to the private key being mutated
●        [Known Issue Fix] The Certificates page no longer returns a 500 status error when the Tanzu GemFire tile is installed

VMware Tanzu Application Platform (TAP)
●        Resolved an issue where cert-manager toggled Gateway API support in the presence of gateway.networking.k8s.io/v1beta1 and did not start.

VMware Tanzu Data Solutions
VMware Tanzu Greenplum® 
●        VMware Greenplum 6.27.2 is a maintenance release that resolves several issues, no CVE updates.

○        Resolved Issues

■     Resolves an issue where the server didn't clean up the subprogram launched for COPY when used with PROGRAM on transaction abort, which causes child programs to stay connected and potentially hang downstream programs such as gprestore with --on-error-continue.

■     Resolves an issue where DELETE and non-split UPDATE operations on heap tables did not obey the wait_for_replication_threshold GUC.

■     Resolves an issue where Orca incorrectly generated a materialized plan based on the child plan's target list instead of the parent plan's target list.

●        VMware Greenplum 7.2.0 is a minor release that includes new and changed features and resolves several issues.

○        Resolves CVE-2024-0985: PostgreSQL non-owner REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY executes arbitrary SQL.
○        With the 7.2.0 release, mirrorless Greenplum architectures no longer use the HA service to provide high availability of Greenplum primary segments in place of the FTS probe used in mirrored architectures. 
○        Changes

■     The resource group parameter MEMORY_LIMIT has been renamed to MEMORY_QUOTA.

■     The log_checkpoints server configuration parameter is now set to on by default.

■     In order to use VMware Greenplum Text with VMware Greenplum v7.2.0 and higher, you must set the default Python 3 version to 3.9 or higher.

○        Resolved Issues

■     Resolves an issue where the server didn't clean up the subprogram launched for COPY when used with PROGRAM on transaction abort, which causes child programs to stay connected and potentially hang downstream programs such as gprestore with --on-error-continue.

■     Resolves an issue where a memory leak occurs during the merging of leaf partition statistics in the ANALYZE process.

■     Resolves an issue where subprograms inadvertently inherit the parent backend's file descriptors.

■     Resolves an issue where hash aggregates always spill when their expected memory exceeds work_mem, leading to poor performance.

■     Resolves an issue where VMware Greenplum was erroneously reporting errors when users accessed external tables, when the table's LOCATION attribute included the | character as a delimiter for multiple location URIs.

■     ​​Resolves an issue where the options column of the pg_exttable view was missing some information about log errors.

Other Tanzu Platform Services
VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI)

●        TKGI v1.19.1 does not include any new breaking changes.

●        Antrea 1.8.0 upgrade

○     Antrea/NSX Integration capabilities available when networkPolicyOnly mode is enabled in Antrea.
○     Antrea L7 NetworkPolicy support for TLS protocol.
○     Pod Name (together with Pod IP) added in Antrea Network Policy logs (np.log).

●        Cloud Provide vSphere 1.28.0

○     Updated base image versions
○     Bumped kubernetes 1.28

●        Harbor 2.10.2

○     Bump golang to 1.21.8 on release-2.10.0
○     Update TRIVYVERSION=v0.50.1 and TRIVYADAPTERVERSION=v0.30.23
○     Fix close file error

●        Kubernetes 1.28.9

○     CVE-2024-3177: Bypassing mountable secrets policy imposed by the ServiceAccount admission plugin
○     Golang.org/x/net is bumped to v0.23.0 to address CVE-2023-45288 (#124179, @MadhavJivrajani) [SIG API Machinery, Architecture, Auth, CLI, Cloud Provider, Cluster Lifecycle, Instrumentation, Network, Node and Storage]
○     Kubeadm: fix panic in the command "kubeadm certs check-expiration" when "/etc/kubernetes/pki" exists but cannot be read. (#124124, @carlory) [SIG Cluster Lifecycle]

●        TKGI v1.19.1 resolves the following issues in the TKGI tile for Tanzu Operations Manager:
        ○     Fixes Ephemeral storage overrun with temporary logfiles from Fluentd.
        ○     Fixes [Upgrade Failure When Special Characters in vSphere Password] (#1-19-0-chars-password]

●        TKGI v1.19.1 resolves the following issues in the TKGI management console:

        ○     Fixes Cannot upgrade after rotating Ops Manager CA.
        ○     Fixes Error creating NSX-T cluster network... Invalid transport path error in NSX Policy API mode

VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid with Management Cluster (TKGm)
CAPV controller manager stops working after some time in TKGm v2.5.1- The issue is due to the "keep-alive" flag that was introduced in CAPV v1.8.8 that is included in TKGm v2.5.1. Check the resolution details in this article.
