Tanzu What’s New - June 23, 2023 Edition

VMware Tanzu Operations Manager (OpsMan)
BOSH CLI command failed with "http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client" - The BOSH environment was set properly, but any BOSH CLI would fail when there were HTTP proxy settings on the jumpbox node. 

VMware Tanzu Application Services for VM (TAS)
Notifications app fails with "Error panic: 421 closing connection" - Too many connections from your host, Busy server, temporarily unavailable service can cause SMTP server error on app log. Check the article for details on resolution. 

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS is returned when accessing Apps Manager - TAS is on version 2.11.29 and suddenly ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error is returned when accessing Apps Manager, which means the request has been redirected for too many times. 

Applying changes are failing when upgrading TAS from 2.11.37 to 2.12.24 - When upgrading TAS from 2.11.37 to 2.12.24 apply changes keep failing and bbs process is failing at all diego_database instances. Please use Upgrade Planner to check the right upgrade path. Check the article for details. 

"uaac users --count" command doesn't return expected number of records - When attempting to retrieve UAA users with uaac CLI based on some filters, it always returns 500 records regardless of "--count" option specified on the command line even though there are more than 500 users existing in UAA. 

VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG)
CSI: x509 untrusted certificate errors cause CSI pods to hang in CrashLoopBackOff state in Supervisor Cluster (93005) - TKGS Guest Clusters or Supervisor Clusters fail to create or attach PersistentVolumes or PersistentVolumeClaims to new nodes or pods. Check the article for cause and resolution.

Contour Ingress IPs not updated/missing after upgrading TKCs to v1.23 (92987) - When accessing the application, it returns a 404 error default backend. Ingress objects are not updating new IPs.  Check the article for the root cause and resolution.

Tanzu Network software distribution has scheduled a platform migration activity that will impact access to the system. During the maintenance, Tanzu Network and Tanzu Network Registry service will be unavailable for end users to login and to download products.

Impact
During the maintenance, Tanzu Network and the Tanzu Network Registry will be unavailable for end users to login to and to download products. Check the status update and details here 

End users and automation pipelines will fail to login to Tanzu Network and Tanzu Network Registry during the change window. Example Operations that will fail: Perform pull/push/copy artifacts, download products, new user registration, etc.
